|

I've just started using gigateleport for midi/audio needs. I've run into some odd errors tho.
If I set more than 2 output channels, I experience bad audio breakup, similar to a digital audio connection with bad clock/latency settings. Playing a single staccato sample results in crackling, buzzing. Increasing latency does not affect this.
Seting GT to only use 2 output channels resolves this, but NOW the midi doesn't work. It will randomly drop notes when playing back a single channel, and playing back multiple channels crashes cubase. Increasing the latency does not affect this.
MoL or Maple midi tools local pipes do not work at all, whether with the VSL performance tool or without.
Saving the giga state cause errors in gigastudio when it trys to load the gigapulse presets. It throws a complex error about how it's unable to find mic preset <#$^&*#ISHV(*@#&!@HFG> please locate it (yes the name it throws up is very similar to what I actually typed in, sometimes hundreds of characters long)
I am unable to set the buffer size past 256, it reverts back to 256 when you select another size.
================================================
I tested my NICs and my connection, I am dropping 0 packets. Windows reads out that max load on the NIC is 5% when running GT with 8 channels of midi and 6 channels of audio(this is with the bad quality, but I can't test with 2 channels since it crashes cubase).
I tried tweaking the IP stack in both machines to no avail, mtu and RWIN don't cause any change that I can discern.
Any ideas? |

| alrighty, someone on another forum pointed me in the right dirrection on this, it's a multiproccessor/hyperthreading issue with cubase. I switched off mutliproccessor support in my asio driver setup and now It works perfectly, minus the vsl performance tool segment. I'm told I need version 1.01 for that though. |
