I've been using Fx Teleport in the place I work, and it's AWESOME!!!!  You know.... for people like myself who don't have enough money n the hearts to throw away older machines for word processing needs, FXT is a blessing!
N this is my config:
HOST: AMD 64 X2 4400+, 1gig RAM, GB LAN ONboard
SLAVE: AMD SEMPRON 2600+ ,1 gig Ram, 10/100 ethernet!
The two PC's share the slave's keyboard n mouse via synergy!!! It's all so cool!
It has actually changed the way I work! Now only my imagination is the limit I guess. I use it with Cubase SX3, an the load on the CPU's is lesser than 50% even when I am using around 27 VSTi's!

Hiya Ace_musicdj,
A question, if you're still "out there". How many "Audio Streams" are
running back to your Host DAW? And what resolution are you running?
I will be using 24 Bit/48 KHz. I've just just finished building my first
Server. Next comes installing the VSTi's. I'll be buying FXT in a few
weeks. I'm just inquiring "directly" to the "Successful Stories" out
there, just what "Success" really means. Please respond if you can... |

hai there....
the maximum stereo connections that ran back 2 the main DAW is till date 34 or 35 I guess
 The song hangs a bit sometimes in Cubase SX3, but even then, I'm happy coz o the thick sounds n the intricate detailing work that i can do now.. oh btw almost all of my reverbs n delays sit in the server. |
