|
|
This has happened to me a couple of times now. I'll produce a set of songs over a period of time and GVST works fine.
I'll go back to them after a period of time, and when loading, GVST gets stuck and causes my program, Cubase SX3, to lock up. I'll force quit Cubase on my main computer, and when I click on the GVST (the locked up window) on my Giga computer, a window pops up saying, "This version of GVST has not been authorized. Would you like to enter the license code now?"
I have entered the license code when I bought the product and re-entered it each time this occurs, but the file will still not open properly. I then have to open the file with Nuendo (which doesn't open all the VST's), re-save the file, open that file with Cubase, and then re-load all my VST's and figure out what settings I had (quite time consuming)
Any way around this? _________________ Master: 3.2 Intel, 875P, Asus P4C800 Deluxe MB, 2Gb DDR 400 Dual Chan., 10,000 rpm SATA HD for EWQLSO sounds, RME Hammerfall with Digiface.

that was quite a while ago lancelink and I don't use fx-teleport anymore (decided to go Mac), but I believe I did find a workaround, so that I didn't have to load an entire blank cue.
When this happened in Cubase, a teleport window would pop up saying something like 'can't find GVST on any server' or something like that. There is an option in that window to 'use locally'. This way the song will load and you'll still have to re-load the GVST, but your layout is stored in Giga anyway. When you re-save your file things should be OK for a while.
Hope this helps,

What I did to fix this was to make sure that the Save Giga State button
was in the same position (ON or OFF) as the EDL you saved. This thing drove
me crazy as I thought it was the network card. Try loading the EDL with it
active (white) and non-active and see what happens.
I've been using Giga Teleport for awhile and somehow that button got turned
on. Every EDL I loaded in to Nuendo made GigaSampler crash or hang until I
closed both GigaStudio and Giga Teleport.
From the manual:
Save Giga State (Giga Studio 3 only). Allows to save Giga Studio settings
(program, fine-tuning, etc.) in your VST host song document (activated when
the button is white). |
